THE STUDENT- CLASS IS IN SESSION!

My name is Michelle, and photography is a new venture for me. I've always enjoyed taking pictures with my cell phone while traveling or of special moments. I often find myself skimming through pictures smiling and re-sharing with friends fond memories. It's funny how a photo can jog so much in your memory. The smell of the air, the people you were with, and the laughter you may have shared. It helps us remember those that are no longer with us or those that are many miles away.

Many of us have devices that we snap moments in time but I decided to take it a step further and grasp the essence of photography. Along my path I've grown to admire Annie Leibovitz. An amazing photographer, that didn't care about the expensive cameras and gear but making a connection with her craft. Her movie "Life through a Lens" was a great story of how she grew into her work from just taking simple family photos to snapping shots of Whoopi Goldberg. She is an inspiration to many photographers and her work is an expression of the beauty in photography.

Saving the best for last I could not leave this section without acknowledging my greatest inspiration Heather McCall aka "Averiesun Photography". I've seen this woman transform into greatness and puts everything she has into her craft of being a great photographer. She has accomplished so much with true blood, sweat, and tears. I'm so proud of her! She's my best friend my sister and I love her.
